With such a long time between posts, you may notice that my holidays are over. Mind you, for once, I have not jumped head first into my work, and have managed to keep the excitement of the holidays bubbling over into the first few weeks at least.
I had decided, as somewhat as a metaphor for other good things about my holiday, that my movie challenge should remain - at least to the original number of 100.

But, the new year has begun with some interesting work antics and maybe a little fun in the personal side of life, so here's some more movies for the list, in no order, so I can get on to the real blogging in the next post.

54. Tim Minchin - Rock n Roll Nerd (2008)
One of my favourite Rangas. I love this guy. I want to marry him. But his documentary informs me that he is happily married to his childhood sweetheart. That almost makes me want to marry him even more. How sweet. I'm soooo annoyed though - he is in London in July (when I was going to be there, but I changed my mind). Now I'm going to London in April instead... guess where he'll be then? Melbourne! Aggghh. To add to that - my sister is also going to see Alanis Morrisette in July. Why did I change my mind??!

55. Perfume - Story of a Murderer (2006)
Wow. Interesting. I had put this off a couple of times as I had started watching it and had to stop it when mini-me saw all the blood. Turns out it wasn't all that gross (bloody) after that but more gross (wtf?). Of course I watched it with a boy who didn't see the beauty of the whole scent thing... but then neither did I really. Let's just put that one in the "creepy, but I've seen it" basket.

56 and 57. Once Upon A Time - Season 1 - Episodes 1 to 6.
Interesting...? Not as thrilling as the ads suggest, but I suppose I will finish the season one day. It's kinda a sweet take on all the fairy tales. I don't mind shows about things that are interpreted differently. Like the modern Romeo and Juliet, or Gnomeo and Juliet. Like all the fairy tales in Shrek. It's nice like that.

58. Year One (2009)
I had seen this before. Couldn't for the life of me remember what it was about. I have now watched it again. And I still don't remember. Or care. Jack Black. Ugh.

59. Yes Man (2008)
Despite being under Year One on my hard drive, I actually saw this one on telly. Ads and all. That should count for something lol. Not my fav. Have to be in the right mood to stomach Jim Carey. But it was watchable.

60. The Descendants (2011)
I can't remember - but I think this might have been another hangover cure. Watched this one at the cinema. It was ok. Nothing special. That's all I've got.

61. Safe House (2011)
Not a bad one. Also seen at the cinema. Was going to see a chick flick to take my mind off the fact that mini-me is being just like me, only 4 years early, and my mum is trying to justify both her original position on the matter and her grand-daughter's - proving that I was in the wrong, not only 16 years ago, but again right now. And so, last minute I swapped chick flick for backstabbing, betrayal, twists, and Denzel. I like Denzel. Also Ryan Reynolds pretending not to be a sit com person... he did ok. Not a bad movie.

62. The Vow (2011)
So I finally did the chick flick thing. I chose a better chick flick friend this time. Or so I thought. Perhaps taking someone just out of an 18 year relationship to a chick flick was not the right thing to do. I felt bad when she cried. It wasn't a bad one. I expected it to be a little "while you were sleeping" but it was much more real and interesting. Turns out it was based on a true story about a chick who never got her memory back. Oh, sorry to ruin it for you...

Ok, that's all I can remember. If you were with me for another movie, please let me know - I just want to get this challenge out of the way so I can start telling you about the rest of my life. Which, filtering through old posts, is looking remarkably similar to this time last year. Except with the added bonus of Spartacus.

to go
